Urgent Matters
Crisis situations can arise at any time. Our staff may not be immediately available by phone or message. With this in mind, please refer to the following guidelines in an emergency or crisis situation.
Emergency (Immediate Response Needed)
In the event of a life threatening medical or psychiatric emergency, call 911 immediately or go to your closest emergency room.
Going to the emergency department or calling 911 will ensure that you receive the level of care that you need. If a crisis arises while during our work together, our therapist will provide assistance and help coordinate the care that is needed. If you have received emergency care due to crisis or psychiatric situations, please contact the office and your therapist will respond as soon as possible.
Non-Emergency, but requires professional help
If you are a current client and feel that you need assistance before our next appointment, I want to help. Please call the office and leave a message for your therapist along with the best way and time to contact you. While I do my best to respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner, our therapist manages her own office hours. Messages may not be immediately checked depending on the therapist’s schedule. Your therapist will respond as soon as she can.
If you feel that you cannot wait for the response from your therapist, contact a trained professional who can help such as your primary care provider, your local community health center or local hospital.
